iBidan was honoured to be invited to Adventist Hospital Parenthood Workshop 2026, a meaningful event created to help parents-to-be prepare for the arrival of their baby with greater knowledge, confidence and care.

While many families prepare carefully for the baby, such as baby clothes, feeding items, confinement meals and the baby room, it is equally important to remember that the mother’s body also needs to be prepared, cared for and supported after childbirth.

During the workshop, iBidan shared practical postnatal recovery knowledge with expecting parents, focusing on the importance of mother care, safe body support and gentle recovery awareness after delivery.

One of the most meaningful moments was when iBidan’s professional Bidans demonstrated simple ways to help a mother move safely and relieve common areas of tension such as the shoulder, neck and back.

The session became highly interactive as many expecting fathers and mothers watched closely, participated actively and showed genuine interest in learning how to support the mother better after childbirth.

For iBidan, this was a meaningful moment because it showed that postnatal recovery is not only the responsibility of the mother. Family understanding, emotional support and the right form of care can make a meaningful difference in a mother’s recovery journey.

After delivery, many mothers may experience body discomfort, back pain, shoulder tension, tiredness, lack of sleep and emotional changes. With proper care, support and understanding, mothers can feel more comforted, supported and confident during their recovery period.

At iBidan, we believe that caring for the baby is important, and caring for the mother is just as important.

We would like to thank Adventist Hospital for inviting iBidan and for creating a meaningful platform for families to learn about postnatal recovery care before the baby arrives.

Through this workshop, iBidan hopes to continue raising awareness about the importance of mother care, family support and professional postnatal recovery guidance for every mother after childbirth.
